I’m Giampaolo Zanol. I help Melbourne riders find an electric bike that suits the roads they actually ride: the commute, the rail trails, the school run and the shopping, or simply getting back on a bike after a few years off.

Your test ride is on real Melbourne hills

Every bike here is yours to ride before you decide. The hills around Heidelberg Road are the test route. One customer took four models out before choosing, and said the hills were “great for working out what level of assist you are after.”

I knew e-bikes are better for people and our environment. Since then I have helped all kinds of people find e-bikes they have since loved and relied on for years. I carry more than one brand on purpose, so the bike fits the rider rather than the stock room: Kalkhoff, Riese & Müller, Focus and Gazelle. Most people who buy here choose a step-through electric bike: no bar to lift a leg over, both feet flat at the lights.

Ask me how far it goes and you get a number for your ride

Bosch works range out from more than a dozen things: hills, wind, total weight, tyres, the stops, the season. The one that moves it most is the assist setting you ride in, and that is the one you control on the day. Tell me your usual ride and I’ll give you the number for that one.

Every bike we sell, we look after

They all run a Bosch motor and battery, my own mechanics service every one of them, and spare parts are held in Australia. Bosch runs its own Australian e-bike support as well, so your bike does not depend on one shop staying open.

Our Melbourne showroom is open seven days

One of my customers put it like this: “Considered, knowledgeable staff, more interested in getting you the right bike than hard selling.” We’re at 1075-1087 Heidelberg Road, Ivanhoe.
